ACT Foundation, AWEP to empower 600 women, youths in FCT, Nassarawa State

The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) in partnership with the African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) is empowering 600 women and youths in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Nassarawa State through agribusiness training and capacity building.

The training which was launched on Tuesday in Abuja had in attendance Hajia Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, Minister of State of the FCT; Angela Ajala, National President AWEP; and beneficiaries of the POWER projects across 5 communities in the FCT.

The program is aimed at promoting business growth, increase international trade through the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and other trade initiatives among the women as well as support growth and human capital development across board.
