Bellerin thinks Liverpool got in better form through new signings

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has stated that his side are expecting a much sterner test when they face Liverpool on Monday night, no small part due to the signings they’ve made this summer.

He said Liverpool have been exceptionally busy in the transfer window so far this season bringing in several new players, including Christian Benteke, James Milner, Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez but to name a few. Arsenal have been quiet in the market this summer with Petr Cech being their only signing so far.

The fact that Liverpool have enjoyed a good start to this season, winning both of their opening fixtures against Bournemouth and Stoke 1-0 can also tell about the new boys they have now. Arsenal, on the other hand, have had a stuttering start to their campaign, losing against West Ham and then securing a 2-1 win when they faced Crystal Palace.

Speaking about Liverpool, “They have signed some good players, it is going to be a totally different game and we are excited,” Bellerin said.

“It is only the third game of the season so it is important that we do things well.”
Both sides will be hopeful of a win on Monday night as they look to push on with their title campaigns and capitalise on the poor form and dropped points so far this season of fellow title rivals Chelsea.
