Blues & Hills Consultancy proudly presents a scintillating evening of book reading, featuring Chigozie Obioma, Booker Prize shortlisted author of ‘The Fishermen’, a book which tells the story of a disintegrating family in Nigeria, combining classic African Story telling with contemporary fiction which tries to illuminate Nigeria in all its historical, political and cultural complexity.
The event will feature reading, question and answer, book signing, and refreshment session.
Chigozie Obioma is a Nigerian author of multiple award-winning debut, The Fishermen, which has been translated into over 20 languages. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of literature and creative writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has been called, in a New York Times book review, “the heir to Chinua Achebe.” In 2015, he was named one of “100 Global Thinkers” by Foreign Policy magazine.
The book reading will take place at Salamander Café, 5 Bujumbura Street, off Libreville, Wuse 2, Abuja, on Saturday, 6th August, 2016. Book reading starts 7.30pm prompt. The entry fee is N500
