The 22nd Conference of Parties, COP22 kick-starts in Marrakech, Morocco today Monday 7th  November 2016.
This year’s conference with the theme ‘COP for Action’, will focus on turning ambition into action and achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
COP22 will focus on negotiating key elements, such as the rulebook for taking action under the Paris Agreement, and scaling up the technical, financial and capacity building support that will facilitate action at the country level.
In 2015, over 190 countries converged in France to adopt the Paris Agreement on climate change at the 21st Conference of the Parties
The event will last from Tuesday 7th to Friday 18th November 2016.
