The Acting Director-General, National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion, (NOTAP), Dan-Azumi Ibrahim, says funding of youth projects is key to self actualisation in technology.
Ibrahim made this assertion in an interview with Newsmen in Abuja.
According to Ibrahim, innovation and technology need huge capital input, without which no country can boast of total independence.
He said that the youths could be motivated if secondary school science projects could be moved to another level to eventually refine them and make them marketable.
The NOTAP boss said the agency was collaborating with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, (RMRDC), to provide grants for such projects and appealed to the private sector to assist in making the efforts of the youths that come up with such noble projects sustainable, by commercialising them.
