The Super Eagles, however moved one step higher from tenth to ninth spot on the continent dropping two points from their six hundred and one in August to finish with five hundred and ninety- nine points in September.
Algeria, is still the first placed team in Africa with seven hundred and seventy- four points.
Cote D’IVoire and Ghana are the second and third placed teams while Tunisia, Senegal, Congo, Cameroon and Egypt are the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth placed teams.
Cape Verde completed the top ten teams on the continent placing 56th in the world.
