The Independent Corrupt Practices and other offences Commission, ICPC, has commenced investigations of four former governors following petition against them.
The four governors are former governor Rotimi Amechi of Rivers State, Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State.
Already, four teams have been raised to visit the states to investigate and establish allegations against the governors.
The allegations bother on dubious awards of contracts as well as contracts awarded to cronies and relatives of the former governors.
When contacted, the resident media consultant to the commission, Folu Olumiti, said the commission was committed to ensuring all petitions were investigated to the logical conclusion and those indicted or found to have compromised would be brought to book.
The teams dispatched to the affected states were expected to report back in the next two weeks, saying no one would be spared if found culpable.
