Emir of Hadejia in Jigawa, Adamu Abubakar, has called on Nigerians to invest in education to enhance sustainable development in the sector.
Abubakar made the call when members of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, (ANCOPSS), paid him a courtesy visit in Hadejia.
He said that people should demonstrate greater commitment to education development, to address the problems be-deviling the sector.
Abubakar also commended the principals for their patriotism and dedication in ensuring effective management of schools in the state.
The emir admonished the principals to dedicate themselves to duty to achieve academic excellence.
ANCOPSS’s Chairman, Hussaini Abdullahi commended the emirate council over provision of classroom furniture at Fantai Secondary School and its support to the education sector.
