Lagos Based Broadcaster, Dan Foster, is Dead

Lagos-based American radio personality Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster – popularly known as The Big Dawg and Top Dawg is dead.

According to sources, Foster died around 1 pm today. While the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed, as, at the time of filing this report, but viral reports have linked his death to Covid-19

The veteran radio host has worked with Cool FM, City FM, Inspiration FM, and Classic FM. He was also a judge on Idol West Africa alongside Dede Mabiaku and Kate Henshaw on Nigeria’s Got Talent.

Prior to his relocation back to Nigeria, Foster worked with numerous radio stations in the United States of America.

He worked with numerous radio stations including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 both in America, and Virgin Island-based WTBN before moving to Nigeria in 2000 where he joined Cool FM, quickly becoming popular with Nigerian listeners.

In September 2009, Foster left Cool FM for Inspiration FM but left in 2014 to join City FM.
In May 2016, he left City FM 105.1 for Classic FM 97.3 radio station where he worked before he passed on.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
