The Office of the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Information and Strategy in partnership with the Lagos State Civil Society partnership (LACSOP) is organizing a Tweet Forum on the Lagos State Debt Profile which will hold on the 26th of March, 2014  starting by 11. 00am.

With the recent discourse surrounding the Debt Profile of Lagos State, and considering the success of the past tweet conference organised with LACSOP, the State has deemed it imperative to have a Tweet Forum dedicated to educating the citizenry on the current status of Lagos Staten Government’s Debt Profile and also provide citizens the opportunity to ask pertinent questions.

During the 2014 Lagos State budget breakdown presentation, the government disclosed that the current debt profile of the state stands at N435 billion, which has made concerned citizens express their displeasure over the seemingly exorbitant spending of the present-day administration.

On this note, it is imperative to give concerned citizens an avenue to question the administration and at the same time enable the State to assure the citizens that in no way has the future of the people of Lagos State been mortgaged. To join in the conversation on twitter, participants can follow and tweet at @LACSOP @followlasg with the hashtag: #lagosdebttalk. Comments can also be sent to: info@lacsop.org or www.facebook.com/LACSOP
