Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, says his administration, is committed to ensuring that retired state workers get their terminal entitlements as at when due.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Doctor Oluranti Adebule, at the Eighteenth Retirement Benefit Bond Certificate presentation ceremony, Ambode, said his administration was a people oriented government, as it would continue to bring smiles to the faces of retirees, since they deserved to live in comfort during their retirement.
According to him, despite the State Government setting aside funds to meet accrued pension rights obligation, some retirees, especially, in the Local Government and State Universal Basic Education Board, have retired without receiving their terminal entitlement.
Ambode, said he believed that, soon the government would credit accrued rights into the Retirement Savings Account of employees immediately after retirement, and would be remitted on a monthly basis.
