The Lagos State government will ensure transport operators are carried along as regards the traffic rules and regulations.
It said the law restricting motorcycle riders popularly known as Okada was still in force, warning truck owners against contravening existing state traffic laws that restricted them from plying Lagos roads between six in the morning and nine in the evening.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transport, Oluseyi Whenu, said this while speaking on the road and rehabilitation drive of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Whenu who urged transport operators not to harass LASTMA officials also warned them not to take government’s magnanimity for granted.
General Manager Public Works, Ayotunde Shodeinde, said government had achieved a lot concerning its road and rehabilitation drive as palliative measures were put in place in some roads in Lagos.
