The Murtala Muhammed Airport Command of the Nigeria Customs Service says it has raked in twenty-two point five billion naira between January and July this year.
The command’s Comptroller, Folorunso Adegoke, stated that July revenue was the highest since the inception of the command.
He noted that necessary checks had been put in place to monitor cargo clearing to ensure sanity in the system and correct payment of import duty.
It was reported that the revenue was an improvement of over eighteen billion naira recorded in the corresponding period in 2014.
