Project Alert Launch Documentary on Community Services for Survivors of Gender Based Violence.

Project Alert on Violence Against Women, an NGO based in Lagos has launched today on social media, a documentary on community services available for survivors of Sexual and Gender based Violence, SGBV.

The documentary tells the stories of survivors and the help they got from the SGBV Community Surveillance Teams the NGO set up in 20 LGAs in Lagos and Sokoto. Project Alert is an implementing partner of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative Project, a global multi-year project aimed at eliminating violence against women and girls.

According to the Executive Director of Project Alert, Josephine Effah – Chukwuma, the SGBV Community Surveillance Team, is a model government should replicate as it will go a long way in ensuring awareness in local communities and prompt response and referral services to survivors
