Upcoming conference to emphasize importance of women’s roles in the society

Nigerian Women can successfully turn the global unpleasant economic environment to the advantage of their families and the society.

Wife of the Lagos Governor, Bolanle Ambode, who made this known at a briefing on its forthcoming National Women’s Conference held at Alausa, Ikeja, said the theme “Relevance In Economic Turbulence” was apt for current economic downturn in the world.

Ambode, Chairman Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials,COWLSO, urged women to be confident in order to face the situation and bring succour to their families.

The Governor’s Wife, said the challenges brought about by dwindling economy was surmountable, saying the Conference would provide new insights into establishing and maintaining good quality life as well as an enriching experience for participants.

The Conference comes up on September sixteenth to eighteenth at Victoria Island, Lagos.
