In a depressed economy, one of the challenges Non-profit Organizations encounter is the inaccessibility to source for fund to execute their projects. Fundraising in a depressed economy is indeed a difficult task.

Vicinia Solutions Limited, a sustainability consultancy service provider poised to deliver innovative, high quality professional services is organizing a one-day workshop titled “Non-Profit Fundraising: Succeeding in a depressed Economy” designed to help Non-Profit fundraisers catalyse growth in income and effectively raise funds for program delivery.

Explaining the significant of the workshop, Ibukun Faluyi who is the Workshop Convener said that the workshop will de-mystify fundraising and will equip attendees with the skills, tools and techniques required to generate income in a sustainable manner.

She explained that participants will develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, learn how to write winning grant and sponsorship proposals, acquire the skills to raise fund using technology, explore appropriate fundraising models to deploy in a depressed economy and learn how to establish and strengthen monumental relationship with donors.

Faluyi mentioned further that participants will also learn donor funding cycles and donor cultivation, develop practical networking skills to connect with donors and meet other fundraisers to feel part of the sector and build network.

She said that veteran of fundraisers who have had successful fundraising experiences in the Nigerian Social Sector will be facilitating the workshop.

The facilitators include Osayi Alile, strategic non-profit consultant who has over two decades worked in diverse roles in the social sector which includes serving as the Chairman of WIMBIZ and the Executive Director of Fate Foundation, Jumoke Alagbe has a progressive fundraising and has worked has as fundraiser/ donor relations manager for severeal development organisation that include WaterAid Nigeria, UNICEF and FATE Foundation.

And Toun Oluwole, Grant Administrator for EFInA, DFID/Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
