Youth Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Initiative Africa(YOUTH WASH) to commemorate 2014 World Water Day.
 
The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 20th March 2014 at the Conference Hall, Secretary to the Government of Federation (SGF), Federal Secretariat, Shehu Shagari Way, Central Business District Abuja by 9.00amPrompt.

The thematic discussion includes Water & Energy, Water & Environment, Water – Education & Livelihood, Water & Food security, WASH & Electioneering. 
The event would unveil the VOTING 4 JUSTICE INITIATIVE IN NIGERIA.

Opening address will be delivered by his Excellency, the Special Assistants to the President on Youth and Student Matters at 9.00am. The Lead paper will be presented by the convener of United Action for Democracy, while unveiling of VOTING FOR JUSTICE INITIATIVE will be championed by Federal Ministry of Water Resource. 

youth wash posterYouth Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Initiative Africa (YOUTH WASH) is a network of youth focused organizations advocating, campaigning and coordinating youth responses on access to water, sustainable sanitation and hygiene promotion. Youth WASH Africa is officially collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and relevant stakeholders in the sector on Youth mainstreaming in solving problems concerning them.

Youth WASH is partnering with major stakeholders in the sector in commemoration of 2014 World Water Day titled ‘Crisis and Solution Talk’, a dialogue platform aimed at engaging political leaders in election specific advocacy in Nigeria, to guarantee long term and cross-parties political commitment from parties (both ruling and opposition) to improve access and delivery of basic services especially education, food, health, water, sanitation, hygiene and to strengthen the capacity of local civil society organisations in Nigeria for effective citizen engagement in demanding for accountability and access to health, food justice, education, water and sanitation for all particularly around electioneering.
